Multiverse of Happiness: Take a look into Marvel’s Phase 4 projects

After “Spider-Man: Far From Home” hit the theaters in 2019, many Marvel fans were left with the question of what will happen in Marvel’s Phase 4. In 2021, Marvel has come out with multiple projects like the television series, “WandaVision” (seen in a previous print edition), “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, and “Loki”. For the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), movies like “Black Widow”, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” are also new releases for the Phase 4 projects that are coming out in 2021.

There is outrage for every movie that is going to be released in the upcoming months/years. In the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” trailer, it became the most viewed trailer ever, sitting at 355,500,000 views (and counting). Marvel fans were eager to see the “Black Widow” movie since the production had to go on hold due to the pandemic. “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” has had fans talking for quite some time since the Ten Rings (a terrorist group in the recent film) has had a special appearance in all of the Iron Man movies. The recent film was the #1 movie across the word for the first two weeks of the showing of the film. Also, the first Disney + Marvel series, “WandaVision”, has been nominated for tons of awards for the Emmys and MTV.

In the recent movie, “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, audiences around the world were exposed to Marvel’s first Asian superhero movie! The Labor Day weekend movie broke box office records and impacted fans everywhere. The action packed film introduced a new Avenger to the MCU and reintroduced the “Mandarin/The Ten Rings” in a more detailed way. This movie highly incorporates Martial Arts and air bending inspired by “Avatar The Last AirBender”. “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” is about the character, “Shang-Chi”, escaping the clutches of his evil father, while his close friend “Katy” tags along for the journey. An important piece to reiterate is how this is Marvel’s first Asian superhero. Even though Marvel has had Asian superheroes in the past, none of them had their own movie which included their culture or upbringing.  Marvel is also bringing in movies like “Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness”, “Thor: Love and Thunder”, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, and more to theaters from 2022 through 2023 as future films. In this new era of Marvel, we will be introduced to new characters and reintroduced to some old ones.
