From superheroes to vsco girls, there is a costume for everyone; you just have to figure out what you like and how to rock it. Whether you’re going trick-or-treating, attending a party or staying home, Halloween can be enjoyed in many ways, especially if you have a great costume.
The number one most googled Halloween costume during 2018 was Fortnite, based on the popular video game released in 2017. So this year, who knows what will be the most popular costume? There are many creative, fun and easy costumes that can enhance your Halloween.
“I’m being a dog for Halloween because why not?” said Marlin Andrews, junior. Costumes don’t have to be anything special; they can be very simple, yet intriguing. “I’m being a rapper because it’s a really comfortable outfit and I haven’t seen anyone do it,” said Gianna Vanvalkenburg, sophomore.
While there are some very basic and well-known costumes, there are also costumes that people will look at and say, “Why didn’t I think of that?” Some of these ideas include wrapping yourself up in a globe and calling yourself ‘Global Warming’, being Regina George’s mom, Guy Fieri, Bob Ross, Buzz Lightyear, Cindy Lou Who, and a hamburger.
If you’re going with a special someone or with a group of friends, there are great couples and group costumes as well. “ I’m going to be an alien because my whole friend group is doing that,” said Madeline Sharpe, freshman. Some creative group costumes are Mario Kart, Scooby Gang, Mean Girls, and aliens from “Toy Story.”
If worse comes to worse, always know that Target and Party City are right around the corner and have costumes for any budget. So find that costume, make it yours and make it memorable.
