The day is soon approaching, and Apple will rejoice for the “new” iPhone. The iPhone 7 might be released in the fall of 2016. This is a long ways away, and little information has been leaked.
There have been many generations of iPhones, starting with the first iPhone, to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. So, over about seven years, there have been (counting the S’s too) eight or nine phones.
Little is known about the new phones, but one can assume their price: expensive. Still, there could be something different. Techadvisor.com said, “It’s possible the new iPhone 7 could be waterproof. In March 2015 a new patent revealed that Apple is investigating ways to make future iPhones waterproof without needing to compromise on the design, a change that never made it into the 6s and 6s Plus. Instead of adding armor to the outside of the iPhone to protect it from water, the method would coat electronic components found inside the iPhone in a protective waterproof material that would prevent them from getting damaged should water find its way in.”
There are many other possible features that can happen. Macrumors.com said, “The continued use of in-cell panels for the iPhone 7 will allow Apple to make the device even thinner, approaching the thinness of the iPod touch at a point between 6.0mm and 6.5mm. Apple’s current iPod touch measures in at 6.1mm, compared to 6.9mm for the iPhone 6 and 7.1mm for the iPhone 6 Plus.”
So, even though there is a new phone about every year, more people will continue to buy the “new” phones. The newest will be released in the fall of this year, for all you Apple fans out there. So if you enjoy buying the same product for more each year, go ahead. I, however, will continue to enjoy my iPhone 4S.
